Sample Letter Of Wishes 2

Dear Corporate Trustee:

Although we love and respect our children equally, we are aware of their different strengths and weaknesses. We wish to emphasize their strengths and to minimize the exposure to weaknesses. We also want them to feel equally loved and respected. As a result, we have prepared a private, yet somewhat public document, our revocable trust, to appear to treat them equally, even though we want them treated quite different, based in the following:

“A”: she is our most financially capable child, and we want you to grant her the maximum discretion over her assets, including the termination of the trust, or her becoming her own trustee immediately upon our death.

“B”: next, to “A”, she is our most financially capable child. Our same wishes apply to her.

“C”: “Chas addiction problems, and our money should not make those problems worse. His only child, “J”, lives with her mother, whose lifestyle we do not approve of. We want to provide some level of discretionary support for “J”, without allowing the mother inappropriate access or control of the funds.

“D”: “D” needs financial guidance. It may be that his assets should remain more tightly managed than with our daughters. Please seek the advice of “A” and “B” for any questions.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
